The Journey to Frog (shown above) tour is an easy paddle, suitable for kayakers of all skill levels including beginners and kids. one or two-person sit-on-top kayaks are provided, but more experience kayakers can choose professional equipment. The staff at Descanso Beach Ocean Sports have everything you will need to make your trip comfortable including wet sandals, windbreakers, and wetsuits.
On the way, your guide will point out historical landmarks, birds, plants, and teach you some island history. During the trip you glide over kelp forest filled with colorful fish, and it’s common to see sea lions, harbor seals, pelicans, and dolphins. Once you arrive at Frog Rock, you will land your kayak on the beach and enjoy a snack and a bottle of water. During the break you can stretch your legs and explore a bit or go swimming.
